Nana (nah nah) is the West African title from the Akan tribe that translates     

                                                                    PASTOR/PRIEST AND KING.

    Nana Rudolph Stewart III is the husband of Jerlys D. Stewart and father of their three nations:  Imani Diane,

Rudolph the 4th and Jeriah Diane 

 He is the founder and earthly Shepherd of the Sankofa International Baptist Church located in Washington, DC.  Sankofa is an Adinkra symbol used by the Akan people of West Africa.  It is a bird that flies forward while looking backwards with an egg in its mouth.  The church's vision is expressed in the literal translation of the symbol "go back and get the lessons you have forgotten."  Under the pastoring of Nana Stewart, The Sankofa Church has and currently does missions in the USA, Haiti, Guyana, South Africa and Jamaica, and corporately with Lott Carey all over the world. 

Nana Stewart is the Senior Pastor of Bophelong Baptist Church in Sazolburg, South Africa and preaches revival every year for the Bophelong Township in the Orange Freestate area of South Africa.  Each year he leads a group of pilgrims to South Africa for mission work.  Nana has also led African history study tours to Accra, Kumasi and Cape Coast in Ghana, West Africa.  He has done International biblical studies with renowned biblical scholar Dr. Cain Hope Felder in Egypt, Jerusalem, Israel and Ethiopia. Nana is a graduate of Lott Carey's Pastoral Excellence program.   

Nana Stewart serves as a member of the Board of Directors for the Haiti Micah Project, Inc. an international mission to improve the quality of life for homeless children and adolescents in Haiti.   

  He is the Executive Producer of several projects aimed at empowering God's people: A live DVD recording called "How to Beat the Devil Out of Your Child, a Comedy CD recording at the Warner Theater in Washington, DC titled "Beat Them Children".  He has authored the book Child, What In the Hell Is Wrong With You? Currently in its fifth printing.  Nana Stewart's 2nd book titled "Lord Help, My Child Done Gone Crazy" will be released early 2010.

  Nana has earned both a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications and a Master of Divinity degree from Howard University graduating summa cum laude with a 4.0 GPA .  He is the recipient of the Dean's and the Vernon Johns Preaching Award.  As a minister of the Gospel and servant of Jesus Christ, Nana Rudolph Stewart III believes "Except the Lord builds a house, they that labor do it in vain."   He does not want to take credit for anything the Lord does.
